As excited as I was...I didn't want to get ahead of myself. I remained cautiously optimistic. After all, Amazon also approached me, over a year ago, with a similar opportunity and I never heard back from them.
During my conversation with Destiny's Acquisitions Dept, I agreed to submit a few manuscript samples of my self-published work for them to review. I drafted the email, hit send, and then I waited...and waited...and waited.
I prayed and confessed and remained positive-just like I encourage you all to do. I thanked God for the opportunity and I told Him how much I wanted this book project to please Him. As one month passed and then another, I began to wonder if maybe this wasn't the opportunity God wanted me to pursue.
Then in September, I received a message. Destiny Image was very much interested in moving forward! Fast-forward, I now have a signed contract. 9-12 months from now, barring any delays, my book will be on store shelves around the world (Of course, I am believing that this book will go worldwide and sell millions of copies).
I'm humbled, grateful, and amazed at God's goodness and unwavering faithfulness. His hand of favor has been on this simple book since day one. It's inexplicable and exceeding, abundantly, above all I could ask or think- but that's how GREAT God is.
Its a dream come true. And when I see my first book sitting on a store shelf, I will cry tears of joy. Then I will pull out my cell phone and take a Selfie (laughing). Maybe when the book reaches your city, you too will post your own Selfie with the book and tag me so that I can see it! OMG I would love that!
There's plenty of work ahead. I need your prayers. Please pray with me that the final book will be pleasing to God and that He will use it to change lives of believers and non-believers. Pray for me that I'm obedient to the Holy Spirit in my writing. And that people all over the world will be delivered from negativity and begin to live a life filled with joy and peace in Christ.

And together, I know that we can see the Negative Self Talk book take the world by storm. It's by God's grace that it will succeed and bless the lives of others the way that it has blessed yours and mine.
