God When Is It My Turn? Waiting on God when it seems like nothing is happening for you.

Waiting on God often feels like planting a seed. You prepare the soil, place the seed into the ground, and then… you wait. At first, it might seem like nothing is happening. But beneath the surface, a miraculous process is unfolding, and with time, the seed begins to sprout.

This analogy beautifully mirrors our spiritual journey. When we bring our prayers, dreams, and faith to God, it’s like planting seeds of hope. Galatians 6:9 encourages us: “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” But just like gardening, the process requires patience, trust, and nurturing.

Imagine planting a seed and digging it up each day to check its progress. You’d likely damage the seed or stunt its growth. The same is true with our faith. When we obsess over immediate results or try to take matters into our own hands, we disrupt the work God is doing behind the scenes.

During the waiting season, our job is to trust God’s timing and continue cultivating the soil of our faith. We water it through prayer, nourish it with Scripture, and shield it from doubt and negativity. The growth may not be visible at first, but God’s Word assures us that He is faithful to bring forth the harvest in due season (Isaiah 55:10-11).

Just as every seed takes time to grow into a strong tree or vibrant flower, God’s promises for your life require time to develop fully. Trust Him in the waiting, knowing that He is working everything out for your good. Your seed of faith will one day bloom into something beautiful, far beyond what you could have imagined.

So, plant your seed, wait in faith, and let God handle the growth. The harvest will be worth it.
